Into The Trees

Into the trees and to now where else. Fly through the wood with your little wings. Fly like theirs no tomorrow. Flee what’s left behind. And never look back. For we discover something new with every step we take. Fly over the trees, hills, and streams.

Ephesians 6:12-13

New International Version (NIV)

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Tall Grass

The tall grass tickles my feet as I walk through the field. It’s one of my favourite places in the whole entire world. I just love to come here and lay in the grass or under the pine trees on the soft needles that fell to the ground. It’s so peaceful and relaxing here. I can hear the birds singing in the distance and as I lay down in the grass the sun shines on my face and warms me up. It’s a place I go to to write and just escape for a while. A place where I’m free.

Philippians 2:14-16

New International Version (NIV)

14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”[a] Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

Bright Lights

When all your love is gone
Who will save me
From all I’m up against out in this world
Maybe, maybe, maybe
You’ll find something
That’s enough to keep you
But if the bright lights don’t receive you
You should turn yourself around
And come on home
